After your time on the water with SURF LC you can carry on your exciting adventures in Lake Cowichan with a leisurely tube ride down the Cowichan river. Make it a day of adventures and finish up with an ice cream at the Cowubunga Cones, a New Zealand style ice cream shop.

If you happen to be camping local to the our area, we highly recommend the Gordon Bay campsites. Our really good friend and life long board rider has an amazing on the water experience for you at Gordon Bay, Pristine Paddleboards!

Make a day of it, learn how to paddle board in the morning, find your balance and then challenge yourself to a wakesurf experience in the afternoon. Or vice versa, we can pick you and your crew up in the afternoon, enjoy a surfing adventure in the afternoon, order pizza to the boat from one of our local pie shops for dinner. Get dropped off back at Gordon Bay for the pristine paddleboards disco event at dusk. Boasting good vibe beats and disco lighting all while learning to paddleboard.

Our little town of Lake Cowichan turns into a city of people during the Lake Town Ranch events. We are making the DDM Surf LC weapon available for single rides on these event weekends. SJT PACKAGE

The Surf, Jake’s and Tubeshack package. Start you day with the early morning surf with the DDM charter for 3 hours. Then enjoy the experience of going through the lock to Jake’s at the lake for lunch and drinks. Followed up with an afternoon tube down the Cowichan river. The tubeshack crew will drop you right back where you started. An 8 hour day to make sure you and your crew are spent and ready to relax at Homebase.

TJS PACKAGE

The Tubeshack, Jake’s then Surf Lake Cowichan. Start your morning with a tube ride down the river, then get dropped off in town and enjoy some time at our amazing little boutique shops all along south shore Rd. Have lunch and drinks at Jake’s and when you are done the DDM Surf boat will pick you up at the Jake’s dock. Through the lock and out onto the lake for 3 hours of surfing.

S&P PACKAGE

DDM Surf Lake Cowichan will pick your crew up at the Gordon Bay recreation site either before or after your paddleboard experience. Look into this more on the Pristine Paddleboard website. Evening surf and disco paddleboard is always a hit!

Our charter membership is the perfect solution for people and families who want time on the water but don’t want the hassle or costs of owning a boat. Memberships start at $150 per month. Don’t know how to surf or foil? That is what the Surf LC charter is all about. All of our charter pilots have tons of riding experience and are NCCP trained to get you up on our boards. Fully certified to drive up to 10 people. First aid trained and certified, and always upgrading our skills.

Don’t want to surf? We got you. Come and enjoy some worry free time on Lake Cowichan. See the sights from the water. Go swimming, send the kids out back on the water toys. Tubing is always a great hit with the younger generation.

Que our friends and local businesses who are just as excited about this surf charter as we are. Just a short ride through the truly unique experience of going through one of western Canada’s only fresh water lock systems. You can experience coming from the calm lake waters through the lock into the Cowichan river.

We require 48 hours notice of cancellation from your crew. This will ensure we have some time to fill the gap. Less than this will result in loss of your deposit.

Pricing

$350 per/hr ($35 per person w/10 people). Charters are minimum 3 hours, we find this is just enough time to get your crew up and surfing.
We supply driver/instructor, boards for all sizes of riders, some wetsuits, lifejackets, ice for the cooler and fuel is included, yes fuel is included!

What You Should Bring

You should bring towels, sunscreen(no aerosol/spray sunscreen)
bathing suit, sunglasses, your beverages with sippy cups for the kids, your camera to catch some amazing shots of all the fun and a dry change of clothes with sweater.

Cancellations

Mother nature is not always nice. We may have to cancel on short notice due to weather or mechanical issues. We will do our best to let you know the night before your charter, and at the very latest the morning of your charter. We will also do our best to give you the first available option for charter time to make up for the loss.
48 hours notice of cancellation from your crew is required for a refund on your deposit.
